The soil was cool and almost different to be in. Stalks of corn surrounded him and stretched high over his head. Ian never had even bothered to look at the plants as he went along picking them. But now, he couldn't stop looking at them as he rested in the middle of the feild. A large basket filled with corn sat beside him from what he'd picked throughout the day.
Ian slowly closed his eyes, his hands folded behind his head as he smiled and softly sang to himself,
"Swing low, sweet chariot Comin' for to carry me home Swing low, sweet chariot Comin' for to carry me home
I looked over Jordan and what did I see Comin' for to carry me home A band of angels comin' after me Comin' for to carry me home."
Ian smiled a little, running his hands through the cold dirt and sighing softly. The lullaby was a bit childish, but his mother had sung it to him. He chuckled a little and then opened his eyes and looked through the stalks and around at everything else. "Being in these caves is so... Nice," Ian thought to himself with a bit of an awkward smile. Sure, it was safe but it felt like home at the same time.

Wanda smiled at Lily before thanking her for the water bottles. Bending down she placed the two water bottles into her basket of corn before picking it up. This was one chore in the feilds she was allowed to do. It required little effort on her part. She looked down the rows and saw the people collasped on the ground talking to each other.
Closing her eyes she smiled and turned down the row where she had been working and spotted Ian. She walked up and placed her basket beside his before picking up the water bottle. "I got you some water." She whispered shyly placing it by his hand before sitting down on the dirt and grabbing her own.
She pulled off her shoes and dug her toes into the ground and giggled at the sensation as it tickled her toes. She sighed and looked at the mirrors and smelling the earthy smell. This is what Wanda missed the most about the Fields, the smell and sights. Corn was her favorite to pick, it wasn't that hard and it was fun to be in the Fields again.
Closing her eyes she smiled and hooked her arms under her legs and leaned back. Soon she remembered why she had gotten up in the first place. Water. Finding the water bottle that was discarded beside her she opened the lid and took a long drink of it before placing it down beside her.

Ian smiled at her drinking thirstly. He rubbed her shoulders and said, "Are you working to hard?" he picked up his water and took a drink, and then another, drinking the whole thing. He put the cap back on and sat it down in his basket on top. He started to rub her shoulders again, massaging the knots he felt.

Wanda smiled and shook her head. "Hardly. I have less corn in my basket then you do." She said indicating towards the two baskets. She closed her eyes and relaxed as Ian massaged her shoulders. After a moment Wanda leaned against Ian's chest and offered him her water bottle. "I'm finished with it anyways." She explained firmly as if saying that she didn't want to hear him complain.

Ian smiled and finished her water gladly, taking the hint that she didnt want to be argued with. He smiled slyly and put some of his corn into her basket, filling it to the brim. He looked back to Wanda, placing his arms around her and squeezing her a bit. "now you have more than me. I'll have some explaining to do to Jeb but you worked harder than me."he said, nodding towards her now full basket.

Wanda giggled when he squeezed her before indicating that she had more. Twisting her head she frowned and picked up the corn and placed it back in his basket. "Ian I'm not taking credit for you're work!" She said kissing his cheek. "It was thoughtfull though."

Ian laughed playfully and kissed her back. He kissed her eyelids, her nose, her jaw line, and then jokingly made his way to her lips. She was so sweet and warm. He let his thoughts wander to that special night... and back again. He stroked her hair, pulling it out of her face and pushing it behind her ear. He would have to find some way to switch their baskets or something.

Wanda giggled and blushed as Ian kissed almost every avalible space on her face. When he brushed hair out of her face she placed her hand on his cheek and saw how tiny she was. Pale and small, that's how she was. The brightest thing about her was he pale blue and silver eyes. She frowned at that thought before smiling for Ian's benift and kissing the corner of his mouth gently.

Ian laughed and caught her in another kiss. He looked around the corn stalks before pushing her over and onto her had. He crawled over her and kissed her gently and playfully. He smiled under their kisses and looked up again. He decided to play a game. "oh my gosh take cover!" he whispered into her ear loudly before fallinf almost copletely onto her but carrying his wieght with his arms. He ducked his imaginationly.

Wanda giggled as Ian kissed her again. Soon, however her back was against the dirt ground and he was kissing her. She blushed and looked around before Ian whispered "oh my gosh take cover!" into her ear loudly. She let out a ompfh under his weight. She looked at him and blinked. "Ian?" She muttered squirming under him in attempt to get her arms free.
