Anne shifted her footing and flipped over the dirt. The sun beat down on her back making sweat cover her neck. She paused to pull it to the side to let the air hit her neck and cool her down a bit. She looked up at the mirrors in the roof before continuing what she was doing. Even if the first part of the work hadn't even started, the sun was already killing her. Her arms felt as if they were clenching up and tighten at the heat. She reached over and picked up a water bottle. The acid taste of the water was much better then the dusty air. Once she replenished some of her H2O, she dug the shovel back into the dirt and flipped it. She continued working until halfway through. Someone shouted, probably Jeb, that it was time for a break. She collapsed on the soil and took a swig from the water bottle again. Anne poured some water on her hand before splashing it into her face and poured a bit onto her back. The warmth of the sun seemed a little less bearing now.

Jared walked into the fields. The strong dusty smell filled his lungs and he let out a soft cough. He walked to the side and grabbed a pick. Today they where preparing the soil. Later they will be planting. He walked to one end of the field and stood looking around for Jeb. Anne had come and stood beside him, her shovel in her hands. He looked at the entrance and saw no body walking in anymore. This was it for the day, unless the third person who would be working with them was Jeb.
Cupping his hands around his mouth he excalimed that they should start working without Jeb. Everyone agreed, knowing that if Jeb did come in when they where suppose to be working they'd get a long lecture and have to work through supper. He slammed the pick into the ground and started a pace for Anne to up to.
Sweat clung to his skin after about five minutes. He paused and took off his shirt and tosssed it beside Anne's water bottle. He continued to work until half way. He stopped and noticed the sun was beating down extra hot today and cupped his hands around his mouth again. "Okay people, five mintue break. Get your water then get back to work." He demanded before going and collecting himself a water bottle.
Jared walked back and looked at Anne on the ground sipping on the water. "You know where Jeb is?" He asked her gulping for air after taking a long swig of water from the water bottle.

Anne looked up at Jared as he came over. "You know where Jeb is?" He asked her. She smiled up at him and shook her head. "Can't say I have." Anne patted the ground beside her, and smiled again. "Come sit. It'll be a while till you get to sit again." She explained reasoning.

Jared sat down grabbing his pick and tossing it in his hands. He placed the pick down and took another swig of the water and ran his hand through his hair. "I hear you helped Mel and Wanda with the soap the other day," He said causually sheilding his eyes and looking at the mirrors on the roof. "how'd that go?" His eyes slid towards her a knowning look on his face.

Anne glowered at the ground before she put on her smile and nodded. "It went well actually. Except the soap bubble that burst." She explained, tapping her chin before scratching at her arms as if they still felt the slight after-burn of the soap. She looked at him before raising her eyebrow. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

Jared looked away and shrugged finishing his water. Standing up he streched before looking down at her. "Mel seemed very....irrated when she finished making the soap" After a moment he reached out and picked up his pick and annocued it was time to restart working.
