Wild traced the wall behind Flames, holding the knife out in front of him , ready to strike. He couldnt see anything in the darkness and could hear nothing but the silennt breathing of the two of them. he couldnt believe that the futile humans had found such a secret place of their own to hide from the souls. He dint know of anything that could excist like this.

Ian walked down the well to familiar hall to the seekers. He hoped they hadnt woken up yet. He held Wanda's hand as they walked with the others right behind them. They turned intot the passage that held the seekers and he stopped, raising his hand motioning a hault signal. He listened intently, picking up the sltight sound of dirt being rubbed. He looked back to jared, who held the gun now, and signaled him forward and to be ready. He didnt know who it was but he hoped not the seekers. They were defensless but he didnt know what to expect.

Mel followed shadows that were Ian and Wanda down the tunnel. She imagined that, since Ian held the lantern, he could see much more than her. Behind her, she imagined she could feel he comforting presence of Jared. Mel held the Seeker's handgun down at her side.
She paused at Ian's signal, automatically holding her breath to listen. A soft scraping. Someone was there. It could be that one of the other rebels had noticed the Seekers and come down to guard them. Mel didn't think anyone else had seen the Seekers beside the raiders and Ian, but it was still a definite possibility. The other possibility was that the Seekers had woken up.
Mel was not an optimist.
Silently, she reached forward and touched Ian shoulder lightly. Mel held the gun up and raised an eyebrow.

Wanda held onto the medical supplies tighter and froze. She stared ahead before glancing at Mel holding the gun towards the noise. She looked back letting go of Ian's hand and moving behind him in case there was any trouble. She didn't want to get in the way and risk anybody. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before opening them. "Hello?" She whispered, the sound loud against the quiet surrondings.

Jared stopped and looked ahead. Stepping forward so Mel and Wanda were behind him and Ian but Mel still had a clear shot of whatever was coming. He was surpised when Wanda sounded so innocent when she greeted the Seekers. If it was someone else. They'd would never had come down to the storage area with bringing a lantern.

Wild stopped in his tracks. He had heard some one say "Hello". Could it be another human. He rested a hand on Flames shoulder, stopping her. He knew she had heard it to, but he needed to stop. He crouched on the ground and placed his palm against the dirt. He closed his eyes and listened. He could hear the slight sound of breathing and the shift of someone's boot. He counted the spounds and figured there was four people he tapped Flames shoulder four times, hoping she knew what he meant.

Hearing a quiet scraping up ahead, Flames slowed down slighty, wondering if she had imagined it. A second later, and high, soft voice called out, "Hello?" Flames froze just as Wild's hand fell on her shoulder.
She peered ahead. Was that a light? Flames thought she could just vaguely make out a turn in the tunnel, as opposed to the pitch blackness elsewhere. Whoever was there, she, or they, were past the next turn and a ways back.
Wild tapped her shoulder four times. Obviously he was trying to convey the number. Either it was a measurement--four meters away, perhaps--or a count of the people. Flames thought they must have been farther than four meters, so she assumed it was the later.
Without shifting her feet, Flames leaned towards the tunnel wall. She held the tiny gun tighter, though she knew only to use it when she was sure of a good shot. The humans had come to find them.

Ian heard the slight movement of dirt and he smiled. They were there. He remembered the knife in his pocket and he flicked it out. He opened it up and swished it around. He still had it in him. He motioned forwards and fllicked off the lantern. It was dark and they now had the upper hand.

Mel pulled Wanda behind her as well, but frowned when Jared stepped in front of her as well. As if she need protecting too. At least he had made sure to leave a good space for her to have a shot through.
There was no response to Wanda's greeting. So it was definitely the Seekers. She raised the gun, just in case they decided to make a quick move. Mel was glad when she had checked earlier that the gun was fully loaded--she wasn't sure where in this place they would have gotten extra ammo.
Ian switched the light off. Mel understood it, but couldn't help to think, Great. Now I'm really shooting in the dark.

Wanda soon found herself at the back of the group when the latern was shut off. She knew it was the Seekers since they didn't reply. She tightened her grip on the Medical supplies and silently moved against the wall so she was completely out of the way of anyone.
