After the invasion, Mel was raiding a house one day when she met Jared, another soul. Although at first Each thought the other was a Seeker, but once they discovered they were both, in fact, human, the two bonded right away and joined forces. Soon Jared had Mel’s trust, and her love. The two were inseparable.

Until, that is, Mel had the soul, Wanda, put in her head. In Mel’s body, Wanda couldn’t help but love Jared as well. However, a greater part of her love went to Ian, another rebel human. Once Wanda got her own body, the pairs were back to Mel and Jared, and Wanda and Ian.

A little later, the rebel humans found another girl, Anne. After she was taken back to the caves, she developed a crush on Ian. Learning that he and Wanda were dating did not change that.

Anne confessed to Wanda that she liked Ian and because of that fact did not like Wanda. This irked Wanda, making her, for once, angry that Anne was being so forward and rude towards Wanda.

Mel had a similar feeling, later finding Anne and warning her not to hurt Wanda or she would pay. Anne brushed it off, and the two got into a fight. The next day, Anne kissed Ian, causing him confusion and Wanda, who saw the kiss, a great deal of pain. Ian and Anne made up with a game of soccer, but how will Wanda recover? And will Mel actually murder Anne?
