Mel even if Ian does leave me you mustn't!" She said clasping her hand on Mel's. "Besides, I'm soul and he's human. He'd be better off with a human." She said looking away and busying her hands by stacking the moulds ontop of each other.

Mel almost laughed at Wanda’s surprise at her suggestion. “Don’t worry, Wanda; I won’t hurt him.” because I’ll never need to Mel added silently. Wanda was already back on her old track. ”Besides, I'm soul and he's human. He'd be better off with a human.” Mel frowned.
Wanda was already stacking the soap in an agitated way. Mel covered her tiny hands with her larger, tanner ones. “Wanda,” she said firmly. “Stop with that. Do you love Ian? And does Ian love you?” Mel only left enough space between the question for Wanda to agree, and none for her to protest. “Then you should be together. You two are perfect for each other. End of story.” After the slightest pause, she added, “And you’re driving us all insane with this soul/human thing.” Mel felt a little bad for using a guilt approach, but if it stopped Wanda from worrying over this, it would be worth it.

She pushed the box towards Mel with a tad more roughness then meant to. After a moment of taking deep breaths she looked at Mel and apologized. "How come whenever a group of three people come to make soap they always end up fighting." WAnda muttered before standing up and picking up the moulds of soap to move to a drier spot. "Mel, I know it annoys you guys about talking about souls and humans. It's the truth though. Ian deserves a human who doesn't need to use someone else to live." She whispered and sniffed before walking out of the room.

“Wanda!” Mel called as she left, but it was too late. She stood up half way before hesitating. She had the idea that Wanda wanted to be alone for a little while. With a sigh, Mel sat back down. Next time she saw Ian she’d have to say something to him, but she wasn’t sure quite yet what exactly. It had not been a good day. Anne had been moved to her hit list and Wanda was depressed.
And Melanie now had to do the soap alone.
She looked at the second and third batch distastefully before reluctantly picking one up and pouring it into the mold. Her hands were going to be so sore after this. They wouldn’t be the only thing.
