Mel started setting her items on the counter with a smile to the soul behind it. ”Hello. I think I’m ready to check out.” The soul smiled back at her and began to scan the items, mostly perishable foods, to update the inventory. ”How are you today?” There was one thing that hadn’t changed—small talk during checkout. She finished placing the food on the counter. ”I’m feeling wonderful. Thank you.” Once the cashier was done, Melanie thanked her again, took her bags, and wished her a nice day.
Finally, at the very end of the raid, she had convinced the others too let her do the shopping. Of course, it probably wasn’t just her powers of persuasion; Wanda had almost fallen asleep at the wheel and, though she took some awake, Mel still took over on the driving. With any luck, Wanda was taking a well earned nap.
Mel was so absorbed in her thoughts that she almost ran into a soul, this one in a male body, by the door. Instead, she just ended up accidentally whacking him with one of her bags. ”Oh my!” Mel said, putting on her soul voice again, ”I’m so sorry.”

Wild looked back to his car and felt someone bumb into him. He turned back and saw a girl. She had brown hair and a tanned face. "Well hello there. Im Sorry. I wasnt paying attention. Are you hurt?"he said. pulling off his glasses and putting them onhis head. He smiled a soul-friendly smile and examined her. He couldnt put the words to it but she looked .....he couldnt figure it out He held out his hand for the girl to shake. "Im Wild Water Currents. Who might you be?"he said in a very gentleman way.

”Are you hurt?” Melanie shook her head; he had probably taken most of the damage. ”I’m completely alright. I was afraid I might have hurt you.” She smiled shyly, imitating Wanda’s behavior. Mel set the bags in her right hand on the ground so she could shake hands with the soul.
"Im Wild Water Currents. Who might you be?" Mel didn’t want to be of the same planet as him and risk a long conversation. Wild Water Currents…dolphins, perhaps? Definitely not flowers, which was what she was going for. ”My name is Azure Petals,” she told him, using the same name from the first motel in Phoenix, so she could keep a story if she needed to. Mel released his hand and picked up her bags again. She wanted to just say goodbye, but knew she had to stay polite. ”You aren’t hurt, though, are you?”

Wild smiled. "Im not hurt.he said. He looked around and back to the car. He made a face that said, sorry, to Flames who was waiting in the car. He down looked at her bags and frowned. "Would you like me to help you carrie these to your car? I can help."he said, motioning to the bags in her hands. He could at least help a fellow soul out. He hadnt talked to anybody else except for Flames and store clerks or receptionists.

” Would you like me to help you carry these to your car? I can help.” Mel smiled, but shook her head. ”No, thank you. I’ve got them.” To show how easy they were to carry, Mel lifted them up to her shoulder level, twisting her arms so her elbows pointed down. In truth, Mel just didn’t want him to see her friends.
”I have ice cream that I should get home before it melts.” This part was half true—she did have ice cream, but it was just for Jared and Wanda to eat in the car. ”It was nice to meet you, Wild Water Currents.” This part was a complete lie; meeting souls was horribly repetitive.

Wild turned suspicious once she denied his help. All souls would except a friendly helping hand. He waved and said, "Well then. I bid you fare well. Good bye."he turned around, walking into the store. He quickley went to the drinks and grabbed two sports drinks. He rushed to the counter, pulling out his seeker badge and showing it to the clerk. He was in a hurry and dint need small talk. The guy quickley scanned the drinks and said farewell. He walked to the door and across the parking lot to his car.
He went to the other side and pulled out the nozzel and got in the car. He turned to Flames and said, "I think I got some suspicious suspects."

Mel left the store and went directly to the van, pulling open the back a setting her bags down carefully on the ground in front of Jared's seat. "Rise and shine, kiddies," she said to the sleeping Jared and Wanda. Then, closing the door and walking around to the driver's door, Mel climbed into her seat. When she glanced in the rearview mirror to back out of the parking spot, she was fortunate enough to see Wild Water Currents holding a badge up to the cashier. ”Damn.” Mel would have sworn worse than that, but she didn’t for Wanda’s benefit.
Of course he was a Seeker. That was just Mel’s luck. She backed out of the spot, and drove out of the parking lot.

Wanda shifted as Mel opened the car and the rustling of a bag woke her. She streched and yawned, just in time to hear Mel say damn. "What's wrong Mel?" She asked before noting the bag. "Did someone suspect you of something?" She asked more urgently before dragging the bag toward her to dig for foor. She found the ice cream and picked it up. "Yum!" She muttered. Looking up she poked Jared in the side and pushed the bag towards him.

Jared made a snorting noise and sat up quickly as Mel placed the bag at his feet. He yawned once he realized that nobody was in trouble, yet. He glanced at Wanda as she began to quesiton Mel about why she said damn. Jared caught the flash of the badge as the Seeker put it away. "Shit." Mel had already backed up and pulled out of the parking lot. "What happened?" He demanded quickly moving to the passenger seat and putting on his seat belt before any soul could see.

Flames looked up when Wild entered the car again. She had been staring at the files again, as usual; this time it was Wanderer's file. "Really?" She looked up, trying find the last people to leave the store. There--that woman putting her bags in the back of her van. "The brunette?" she asked Wild. A second later, she didn't need confirmation, though. The girl turned and Flames recognized her face.
"No!" she gasped. Then she grinned. I've found you, lost little Wanderer. She looked at Wild. "Go! Drive! Follow her!"
